Twenty-plus years in the making, and it was worth the wait. We take a break from Horrortober for Confess, Fletch, Greg Mottola's 2022 reboot of Gregory Mcdonald's mystery series and a follow-up to one of Chris' favorite films. Jon Hamm steps into the role of Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher, a former investigative reporter who becomes the prime suspect when a dead woman turns up in his Boston rental, all while he chases a stolen art collection and a kidnapped Italian count. Roy Wood Jr., Kyle MacLachlan, Marcia Gay Harden, and John Slattery round out the cast. It's much better than it has any right to be, and it sets the stage for, hopefully, more sequels.
Father Malone of Dark Destination joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Confess, Fletch, the two original Chevy Chase films, where the series could go from here, and so much more.
