Story Transcript:

Fr: Sophie et Antoine étaient deux amis qui avaient décidé de partir à la découverte de la Ville Lumière.
En: Sophie and Antoine were two friends who had decided to discover the City of Light.

Fr: Ils étaient excités à l'idée de visiter les rues de Paris et de voir la Tour Eiffel.
En: They were excited to tour the streets of Paris and see the Eiffel Tower.

Fr: Toutefois, ils ne s'attendaient pas à se perdre en admirant cette dernière.
En: However, they did not expect to get lost admiring the latter.

Fr: Sophie, émerveillée par la beauté de la tour, était restée bouche bée et avait arrêté de suivre les indications qu'Antoine lui donnait.
En: Sophie, amazed by the beauty of the tower, had remained speechless and had stopped following the directions Antoine was giving her.

Fr: Elle s'était éloignée sans s'en rendre compte, et lorsqu'elle avait enfin jeté un coup d'œil autour d'elle, elle ne pouvait plus voir son ami.
En: She had walked away without realizing it, and when she had finally taken a look around her, she could no longer see her friend.

Fr: Sophie s'était immédiatement mise à la recherche d'Antoine, mais elle avait pris la mauvaise direction.

Fr: Elle avait fini par arriver dans une petite rue sombre qui ne ressemblait en rien au quartier chic et touristique qu'ils étaient censés arpenter.
En: Eventually she had come to a dark side street that looked nothing like the posh, touristy neighborhood they were supposed to be walking through.

Fr: Finalement, Sophie avait trouvé une fromagerie où elle avait décidé de chercher refuge, espérant y trouver un plan de la ville.
En: Finally, Sophie had found a cheese factory where she had decided to seek refuge, hoping to find a map of the city there.

Fr: C'est alors qu'elle avait rencontré Antoine.
En: It was then that she had met Antoine.

Fr: Les deux amis étaient heureux de s'être retrouvés, mais ils n'étaient pas d'accord sur le choix du fromage.
En: The two friends were happy to have found each other, but they disagreed on the choice of cheese.

Fr: Les deux amis avaient accepté la proposition, et après avoir goûté les deux fromages, ils avaient fini par s'accorder sur le fait que chaque fromage avait ses qualités et son charme propre.
En: The two friends had accepted the proposal, and after having tasted the two cheeses, they had ended up agreeing on the fact that each cheese had its own qualities and its own charm.
