Story Transcript:

Sr: Napolju je bio topao prolećni dan, sunce je milovalo kamenje drevne tvrđave Kalemegdan u srcu Beograda.
En: Outside, it was a warm spring day, the sun caressing the stones of the ancient Kalemegdan fortress in the heart of Belgrade.

Sr: Milos je uživao u šetnji, dok mu je glava bila pune misli o starim legendama i junačkim pričama.
En: Milos enjoyed his stroll, his head filled with thoughts of old legends and heroic stories.

Sr: U tom trenutku, on ugleda prelepog belog mačka kako se izležava nedaleko od staze.
En: At that moment, he spotted a beautiful white cat lounging not far from the path.

Sr: Očaran, Milos priđe mačku da ga poboža.
En: Enchanted, Milos approached the cat to stroke it.

Sr: Ali mačak nije bio običan – bio je Jelenin, devojka čije je zelene oči Milos već dugo krišom posmatrao.
En: But the cat was no ordinary cat - it belonged to Jelena, the girl whose green eyes Milos had been secretly admiring for a long time.

Sr: Mačak, međutim, nije bio raspoložen za Milosovo društvo i, kao da je shvatio njegove namere, u trenutku se munjevito digao i odjurio prema grmlju koje je vrbilo oko kamenih zidina.
En: However, the cat was not in the mood for Milos' company and, as if it understood his intentions, it swiftly leaped up and darted towards the bushes that rustled around the stone walls.

Sr: U hvatanju mačka, Milos se saplete i padne, a prizor je posmatrao Stefan - mladić smešnih naočara i sa ljubimcem zmijom omotanom oko ramena.
En: As Milos tried to catch the cat, he stumbled and fell, a scene observed by Stefan - a young man with quirky glasses and a pet snake coiled around his shoulder.

Sr: Stefan je pogledao ka grmlju i na trenutak pomislio da mu je ljubimac zmija pobegla.
En: Stefan looked toward the bushes and for a moment thought that his pet snake had escaped.

Sr: "Zmija!
En: "Snake!

Sr: Zmija!
En: Snake!"

Sr: " viknu Stefan, trčkarajući za mačkom misleći da trči za svojom zmijom.
En: Stefan shouted, chasing after the cat, thinking it was his snake.

Sr: Milos je, zbunjen, pratio Stefana, misleći da pomaže u lovu na zmiju, ali u srcu osećao zabrinutost – kako će Jelena reagovati kada sazna da je njen mačak zamenjen za zmiju.
En: Confused, Milos followed Stefan, thinking he was helping to catch a snake, but in his heart, he felt concern - how would Jelena react when she found out that her cat had been mistaken for a snake.

Sr: Vika Stevana i nespretan trk Miloša privukli su Jelenu, koja se pojavila sa zabrinutim izrazom lica.
En: Stefan's shouts and Milos's clumsy run attracted Jelena, who appeared with a worried expression.

Sr: "Šta to radite?
En: "What are you doing?"

Sr: " povika Jelena dok su se dvojica muškaraca izmotavali oko kestenova i starih kamenih zidova, pokušavajući da uhvate "zmiju".
En: Jelena shouted as the two men wriggled around the chestnut trees and old stone walls, trying to catch the "snake."

Sr: Ubrzo, haos je dosegao vrhunac kada je Jelena konačno razaznala svoju ljubimicu mačku kako beži od Stevana i generalnog meteža.
En: Soon, the chaos reached its peak when Jelena finally recognized her beloved cat fleeing from Stefan and the general commotion.

Sr: Sa smehom, objasnila je: "To nije zmija, to je moj mačak!

Sr: "Svi su se smejali kad su shvatili svoju grešku.

Sr: Sunce je još uvek toplo sijalo kada su se Milos, Stefan i Jelena napokon smirili.
En: The sun still warmly shone as Milos, Stefan, and Jelena finally calmed down.

Sr: Odlučili su da završe dan zajedno, deleći priče i smešne anegdote o svojim ljubimcima, dok je toplina i svetlost omotala zidine Kalemegdana, zatvarajući poglavlje još jedne neobične avanture u srcu Beograda.
En: They decided to end the day together, sharing stories and funny anecdotes about their pets, while the warmth and light embraced the walls of Kalemegdan, closing another chapter of an unusual adventure in the heart of Belgrade.
