Brenda's Easter Visit is a gentle story about a woman who spends every Easter bringing carefully chosen chocolate gifts to children stuck in hospital over the holiday. Each box — containing a chocolate egg, bunny, and chicken tied with coloured ribbons — is prepared with quiet devotion. When Brenda visits young Elsa, who has hurt her back and hasn't smiled since arriving, a crooked purple bow on a chocolate bunny coaxes out her first real laugh. The moment moves from one bedside to the next, carrying something that medicine alone cannot give.
