Uk: У день, коли листя впало від золотавого осіннього дерева поблизу Софії Київської, до міста з північної сторони прибув Іван.
En: On the day when the leaves fell from the golden autumn tree near Sofiya Kyivska, Ivan arrived in the city from the north.

Uk: Київ на той час ще не повністю вектов задовольняти смаки сучасних гурманів, але Іван не був капризним в їжі.
En: At that time, Kyiv was still not fully able to satisfy the tastes of modern food lovers, but Ivan was not demanding when it came to food.

Uk: Марія, помічниця кухаря в ресторані "Золотий борщ", працювала з ранку до вечора і була гостинною господинею.
En: Maria, the assistant to the chef at the "Golden Borscht" restaurant, worked from morning until evening and was a hospitable hostess.

Uk: Вона відразу побачила Івана, щойно він переступив поріг її ресторану.
En: She immediately saw Ivan as soon as he stepped over the threshold of her restaurant.

Uk: Високий й хоробрий, Іван виділявся на тлі інших гостей, а його ясні очі з лижем дивилися на неї.
En: Tall and brave, Ivan stood out among the other guests, and his bright eyes with a spark looked at her.

Uk: Марія мчала на кухню, але не встигла уникнути зустрічі зі стоваришем по роботі, і казанок з гарячим борщем вислизнув з її рук.
En: Maria rushed to the kitchen but couldn't avoid bumping into her colleague, and the pot with hot borscht slipped from her hands.

Uk: Марія закричала, проте було вже запізно.
En: Maria screamed, but it was already too late.

Uk: Палюча червона рідина злякано злетіла з казанку й розпорошилася по Івановим колінах.
En: The burning red liquid frightenedly flew out of the pot and scattered on Ivan's knees.

Uk: Іван здивовано аж моргнув, коли відчув гарячий дотик борщу на своїй шкірі.
En: Ivan blinked in surprise when he felt the hot touch of borscht on his skin.

Uk: Марія, дивлячись на свою борщеву катастрофу, відчула великого сорому.
En: Maria, looking at her borscht catastrophe, felt great embarrassment.

Uk: Але Іван лише посміхнувся й сказав: "Нема проблем, дорога Марія, бо я не тільки із холоду приїхав, але й від голоду".
En: But Ivan just smiled and said, "No problem, dear Maria, because I didn't come just from the cold, but also from hunger."

Uk: Іван виглядав так щирим й доброзичливим, що серце Марії застрибало в грудях.
En: Ivan looked so sincere and friendly that Maria's heart jumped in her chest.

Uk: Але просто відсісти й доторкнувшись до чистої серветки, вони знову почали спілкуватися.
En: But simply sitting down and wiping off with a clean napkin, they began to talk again.

Uk: А Іван, незважаючи на борщевий інцидент, вирішив повернутись в ресторан "Золотий Борщ" наступного дня.
En: And Ivan, despite the borscht incident, decided to return to the "Golden Borscht" restaurant the next day.

Uk: З того дня Іван та Марія стали нерозлучними.
En: From that day on, Ivan and Maria became inseparable.

Uk: А їхній перший зустріч у вихорі борщу став однією із найулюбленіших історій, яку вони розповідали своїм друзям і родині.
En: And their first meeting in the whirlwind of borscht became one of their favorite stories that they shared with their friends and family.

Uk: І хоча історія про Марію та Івана та їхніх борщевих пригод почалася з невдачі, вона набула солодкого смаку успіху і мудрості, як саме життя, в якому ми знаходимо любов і щастя навіть у найвипадковіших моментах.
