In this episode we continue studying the book of Revelation. In this chapter we discover the Bride has prepared herself for the Marriage Supper. We find that the bride is foreshadowed in Proverbs chapter 31. She is the virtuous woman and because of her, her husband Jesus the Christ is known at the gates.

Gates refers to the entrance into the city as well as the activities carried out there like buying and selling and judicial court proceedings. Judges sat at the entrance of the Gates.

Here because of his Bride, Jesus is welcomed and sits with them.

She will do good to him and not evil all the days of her life. She girds herself with strength. She rises while it is night, during the darkest times in the world and gives the meat of the gospel to her household. She perceives that the merchandise of the gospel is good, so her candle does not go out by night. She is not idle and looks well to all her ways.

She lays her hands to the spindle and makes coverings for household, they are all clothed with scarlet (they are all covered by the blood of the Lamb). She dresses like royalty, her clothing is silk and purple.

She is like a merchant ship, bringing food that feeds and nourishes from afar, directly from the throne of God.

She also makes fine linen and sells it.

The fine linen she sells represents righteousness, it’s available to anyone willing to purchase it.

They may purchase the fine linen of righteousness in Christ, without money. Here’s the text:

Isaiah 55:1  Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Isaiah 55:2  Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Isaiah 55:3  Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Christ's Bride, the church also distributes girdles to the merchants. A girdle refers to a belt that girds and restrains on every side, the redeemed merchants of Christ can now restrain the son of perdition, until Christ is ready for him to be released and revealed.

This is the work of Christ’s wife, the one who represents His authority on earth.

This can only be done effectively, if she comes out of Babylon, the great fornicating whore.

His wife comes out of Babylon because the text says, she has prepared herself. She no longer commits fornication or adultery with the Great City Babylon she is now a faithful bride in the Beautiful City, New Jerusalem.

We note how she comes out of Babylon in this episode.
