someone said that the more things change, the more they remain the same. but do they? yesterday was rakshabandhan. it is a very popular Indian festival that celebrates bond between brother and sister. it is looked forward to by both the brother and the sister. it could be real siblings or cousins, love and enthusiasm remains the same. it just requires a sister to tie thread and put Tikka on brother's forehead. in return, sister gets gifts or cash. it is simple celebration with lot of emotions. but, of late, this festival seems to be undergoing some sort of changes. my sister, Shweta, and I discuss in this episode, if these changes are required or should we stick to our traditional way of celebrating it.
