Horrortober 9, this year a mixed bag of new and old horror, comes to a close with a 2022 film that made tons of waves in the horror world. Written and directed by Zach Cregger, Barbarian stars Georgina Campbell as Tess, a woman who arrives at her Detroit rental for the week only to find it already occupied by a man, played by Bill Skarsgård, with Justin Long along for the ride. That's the setup, and anyone planning to watch should go in as cold as possible. It's a wild, at times nonsensical ride that tries to subvert expectations almost endlessly. A first-time guest from Scary Stories We Tell joins to dig into a rough movie with even rougher subject matter. Content warning: the episode discusses sexual assault.

A guest from Scary Stories We Tell joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Zach Cregger, Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård, and so much more.
