Story Transcript:

Hr: Sunce se smiješilo nad gradom Zagrebom, a Marko i Ana su šetali njegovim živahnim centrom.
En: The sun was shining over the city of Zagreb, and Marko and Ana were taking a stroll through its lively center.

Hr: Ana je pričala o novoj knjizi koju je počela čitati, a Marko je pažljivo slušao, gledajući je svojim sretnim očima.
En: Ana was talking about a new book she had started reading, and Marko was listening attentively, looking at her with his happy eyes.

En: Suddenly, as they passed by a café where people were enjoying their morning coffee, Marko didn't notice the yellow banana peel on the sidewalk.

En: The peel lay like a trap in front of him, and he carelessly stepped on it.

En: His legs flew up in the air, and his body collapsed to the ground with a comical "oof!"

En: As Ana tried to help Marko up, something unusual happened.

En: Petar, a young man rushing to work, didn't see Marko on the ground and also stepped on the same banana peel.

En: His fall was even more comical as his briefcase flew out of his hand and papers scattered in the air like colorful confetti.

En: The residents of Zagreb began to gather, watching with a series of laughter as one person after another slid and fell on the same banana peel.

En: But soon, Marko and Ana came up with a plan.

En: They went to the nearest store and bought a broom.

En: They returned to the scene, where Marko started sweeping the sidewalk, while Ana stood a little way off holding a large sign that read "Caution, slippery!"

En: People began to steer clear of the spot with the banana peel, laughing and thanking the two for their ingenuity.

Hr: Tako su Marko i Ana spriječili nove slapstick nesreće i usput su postali junaci dana u gradu Zagrebu.
En: In this way, Marko and Ana prevented new slapstick accidents and also became the heroes of the day in the city of Zagreb.

Hr: Na kraju dana, Marko, Ana i Petar su zajedno popili kavu, smijući se čitavoj situaciji.
En: At the end of the day, Marko, Ana, and Petar sat down together for a coffee, laughing at the whole situation.
