Author, thru hiker, and self-described difficult trail companion, Suzanne Roberts drops by the studio to talk trail with Doc. Settle in and get comfortable as Doc and the author of the JMT memoir Almost Somewhere cover a number of topics, including Burning Man names, the nostalgia of being naïve and dangerous, hiking shoes, ultra pub crawls, environmental grief, the art of writing, role models on the trail, Lost Coast pooping strategies, 1993 treks through the Sierras, and the female experience on the trail. Epic.
