This poor woman reacted like some deer in the headlights at each pertinent question Mr. Caporella asked. Heck, even I could probably have faked my way through the interview in a fairly cogent way even on short notice, without having to resort to only vague assertions and odd excuses, though at the time I knew nothing of her organization...
Upon my further research the AEDC does sound like a worthwhile cause. It appears from their website (in which Ms Elliot is nowhere mentioned) that the organization also has plenty of well-informed members who might have done an excellent interview in her place.
Nonetheless, I'm still a bit skeptical as to how anyone would be able to design, construct and launch the most elaborate [likely the most expensive] space station ever conceived in only 7 years. Also, her own personal accounts of alien contact seemed strangely vague, (and quite unique!)
