This week on Not Another Football Podcast, we’re joined by former Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson. Alan sits down with Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly to reflect on his football career and his hugely successful time at Celtic F.C., where he became a key part of Martin O’Neill’s side during one of the club’s most memorable eras. He looks back on winning trophies with Celtic, unforgettable European nights and some of the biggest Old Firm clashes against Rangers. Alan shares the stories behind his goals against Rangers, the cards and fiery moments that came with the fixture, and his memorable battles with Fernando Ricksen. The conversation also explores life inside the Celtic dressing room, playing alongside some of the club’s biggest characters, working under Martin O’Neill and what made that team so successful at home and in Europe. Packed with Celtic memories, Old Firm stories, nostalgia and plenty of laughs, this is a must-listen for football fans and anyone who remembers Alan Thompson and that unforgettable era at Celtic.
