Within weeks of finally reaching her goal of graduating high school, 19-year-old Angel Carlick went missing from the capital city of the Yukon territory in 2007. Police were convinced she was just a teenage runaway until 5 months later when her body was found at the base of a mountain by a hiker approximately 40 mins from Whitehorse. What happened to Angel? Did police drop the ball by not investigating her disappearance? This wouldn’t be the only tragedy for the Carlick family and the community of Whitehorse. A decade later, someone else in the family would be murdered. Two indigenous women from the same family have been murdered. Is there a connection? Why is Angels case still unsolved?
