Deer, whose work focuses on corporate social responsibility and the intersection of business and social challenges, and Miller are co-authors of Business Doing Good: Engaging Women and Elevating Communities, which outlines six principles business leaders can implement to effectively hire women who have experienced serious hardships--incarceration, poverty, homelessness, addiction, violence, or engagement in the sex trade--to positively impact lives, businesses and communities.
