Jeff Rasley is the author of FOURTEEN books; the most recent is 72 Wisdoms is a book of 72 short personal essays based on "wisdom quotes" from sources as diverse as Old Testament proverbs, memorable lines from pop culture, ancient Greek and Buddhist aphorisms, a Beatles song, neuroscience, sports cliches, astrophysics, classic movies, and Quaker values. The topics range from sports, politics, current events, legal issues, philanthropy in Nepal, mountaineering, ordinary concerns of daily life, and the deepest philosophical questions. The people quoted are also a diverse lot, including, for example, Jesus, Muhammad Ali, the Dalai Lama, Betty White, Einstein, Dr. Seuss, Stephen Hawking, Nikola Jokic, and Lucille Ball.
