Johnny Mac delivers a sequel to his Oscars recap, focusing on Conan O’Brien’s hosting: Variety quotes Disney TV exec Rob Mills calling Conan “host for life,” details producers’ notes on bits (Leonardo DiCaprio’s meme moment was not pre-briefed; Matt Berry announced from London), and mentions an end sketch parodying Best Picture winner “One Battle After Another” with no alternate endings. He contrasts tabloid criticism (Daily Mail, Radar Online) with praise from The Times and Nikki Glaser, and notes Ricky Gervais tweeted “F that” about hosting. He recounts Oscars snack boxes and Conan’s note, reports fake anti-Trump/anti-Elon posters from “Everyone Hates Elon,” and a White House tweet attacking Jimmy Kimmel after a joke implying Trump. He shares Conan’s Ireland immigration story, plugs Mark Normand’s Netflix special, and covers stories on Bert Kreischer, David Nihill, and Maggie Winters.
