Johnny Mac delivers a play-by-play Oscars recap focused on Conan O’Brien’s hosting and monologue, praising the show’s production, the movie-referencing cold open, and specific jokes (including political bits, a rule-of-three example, and a serious statement about global artistry), plus notes on Matt Berry announcing from London and Jimmy Kimmel’s cameo. He says he likes letting non-star winners speak and observes hosts tend to disappear later in the broadcast, then teases covering the second half on Tuesday. He reports Bert Kreischer’s tour bus caught fire on I-94 after a tire blowout, with everyone safe but belongings lost. He also previews Tuesday discussion of a strong SNL episode, praises Harry Styles as host, notes Colbert’s Book of Mormon anniversary segment with Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, shares Vice quotes from Pete Holmes, lists Comedy Gives Back’s Alt Comedy All Stars 2026 lineup, and runs through SXSW comedy events.
