Johnny Mac, shares insights from AI analysis of listener behavior which reveals that comedy intersecting with politics, money, and elite institutions garners high engagement, while neutral coverage underperforms. The analysis indicates Daily Comedy News shares an audience with podcasts like 'Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend,' 'WTF with Marc Maron,' 'SmartLess,' and 'Fly on the Wall.' The community prefers personality-led, long-form conversations and established figures over emerging voices and high-energy content. Mac's audience values predictability, continuity, and in-depth reflections over chaotic and confrontational shows. The insights suggest podcast discovery is driven by short-form video platforms, while podcasts maintain retention.
