Melissa Muganzo Murphy, inspired by her own surviving of fibroids, set out to document the challenges faced by Black women -- and others -- in seeking reproductive healthcare, from racism to transphobia, institutional sexism and other issues.

On this episode, she shares her story from producing the film, which debuted in July 2022, has received accoladdes at film festivals, and is once again screening in California's capital in the coming months.
