Well done gentleman. You said it, it's the people in this discipline that make the difference. I've talked to more than one BPCR shooter, that were very accomplished in other shooting sports, and they've all said the same about the people while admitting the challenge is at least equal if not more difficult.

I wanted to add a couple of other things that I think were instrumental in the resurgence of black powder cartridge rifle shooting. The movie Quigley down Under which came out in 1990 exposed this type of firearm to a huge audience. The 1990 book by Spence Wolf on loading cartridges for the 45-70 Springfield rifle. Finally the 1992 SPG black powder cartridge reloading primer by Mike Venturino and Steve Garbe. There have been many more books, people and events since that time that have added to the sport but I think these along with the items you mentioned in the podcast had a great influence on the resurgence of the black powder cartridge rifle.
