Danny was a struggling entertainer down to his last $7 the week before his first child was born, when a pledge he made to a little-known saint would change his life and the lives of many thousands of others.
John dropped out of business school to support his family after the death of his father, but would go on to change entire industries, build the tallest building in the world, and establish one of the earliest and largest Catholic foundations in the US.
Catherine was inspired by the generosity and service exemplified by her step-mother Emma, but a secret that Emma kept from her caused Catherine to rethink her life and opt for a path of service that was very unpopular at the time.
