In one of my classes, we spent an entire hour on the topic of resilience. One of the things that was in the article that we read (in order to prepare for the class) was that in multiple studies, they found that children who had at least one involved adult in their lives were much more likely to be resilient and to bounce back from traumatic experiences in their lives.
Basically, one person can make all the difference.
It only takes one.
I want to be that person. The one person to believe in those I know and those I love. I want to be their cheerleader.
I hope you come to understand that you too, can be the one person to believe in someone else. Your contribution matters. And THAT is what matters most.
