  • 119 The Absolute Threshold

24 APR 2024 · I care deeply about this concept/topic and have wanted to share it with you for a long time. Finally, I sat down and recorded my thoughts and experiences about it! I hope you can learn more about the absolute threshold and understand why I think it’s so important and applicable! I did something different than I’ve ever done before (and I’ll probably never do it again); it’s down below. I separated the time for you between topics. From 0:00 to 5:30 The absolute threshold explained in a scientific sense 5:30 to 9:07 How the absolute threshold is related to the spirit 9:07 to 12:09 An experience of mine that is applicable to the spirit and the absolute threshold 12:09 to 12:34 Things that may raise your absolute threshold 12:34 to 13:04 Things you can do to lower your absolute threshold 13:04 to 24:41 Stories of when I’ve felt the spirit 24:41 to 28:08 My testimony that Heavenly Father cares about you, and you can feel the spirit as often as I do! 28:08 to 29:04 Sign up for remind please! 29:04 to 29:32 My outro Don’t forget to sign up for Remind! • 118 Rob Burdzy Interviews Me!

22 APR 2024 · Today I’m shaking it up … big time! This episode is a recording from last Friday, the 19th of April. My friend Rob invited me to come on Thunder 91.1 (SUU’s radio station) during his shift so he could interview me about my podcast. I met Rob Burdzy in my Audio Production class this semester. I am a front-row student (as you probably already know haha!) and so is Rob! We became friends and have bonded over our mutual interest in depth and in growth. In this episode we discuss depth, meaning, growth, my podcast, friendship, and more! Rob is a fantastic person and friend. He is just starting out as an influencer and is excited to get to know people and ask them about their lives and what makes them who they are. He has an Instagram and Facebook page (he mentions them in this episode), so be sure to check him out! Little disclaimer: I did not edit this episode (other than taking the music out) since it played live on the radio. I wanted to keep it as close to the original as I could! I hope the transitions are okay and make sense. Don’t forget to sign up for Remind! Text @kmpodcast to 81010 for little blurbs about each episode. ^Like seriously … it’s not that hard ;)

  • 115 An Insider’s Look on Being a Bishop (feat. Scott Roberson)

2 APR 2024 · For about a month now I have felt prompted to record an episode with Brother Scott Roberson (aka Brother Rob). I reached out to him, and he kindly agreed. Brother Rob talks about the duties of being a bishop, challenges related to this calling and how he overcame them, times when he felt prompted to reach out to someone, what he wanted his legacy to be, stewardship and its role in a ward, how he promoted spiritual growth in the ward, lessons he learned as a bishop, how he balanced all of the different demands on his plate, and what he learned about Jesus Christ throughout his journey. • 114 A Testimony Comes From the Heart (feat. Michelle)

27 MAR 2024 · This is an FSY episode where I interview my fellow counselor friend, Michelle! Michelle shares some of her most memorable moments as an FSY counselor, times when she felt directed to follow a prompting, times when a prayer was answered that lead to a mini miracle, and how her relationship with the Savior grew this past summer. This was such a fun podcast to record! Thank you Michelle!

  • 113 Strategic Watering

25 MAR 2024 · I LOVE my Experimental Analysis of Behavior class. It is so intriguing, fascinating, applicable, and fun! I feel like I learn so much everyday, and I (can’t believe I’m saying this) love reading the textbook. Today I talk about operant conditioning in relation to parenting. This topic is vast and complex, and this episode merely scratches the surface. Specifically, I talk about reinforcement, extinction, schedules of reinforcement, PREE (partial reinforcement extinction effect), and extinction bursts. I hope you find this information as fascinating as I do! Don’t forget to sign up for Remind! Text @kmpodcast to 81010 for little blurbs about each episode.

  • 111 Feasting Upon the Words of Christ

18 MAR 2024 · I’m BACK! Hallelujah! I took a 3-4 week hiatus, but I’m back and hoping to not disappear on you again. Today I talk about my thoughts for my upcoming seminary lesson that I’ll be teaching tomorrow (3/19/24). It’s about feasting upon the words of Christ. My main focus is on showing the youth that reading the scriptures can be *exciting* and enjoyable. Because when it’s exiting and enjoyable, it’s so much easier to feast! I hope you enjoy my thoughts on feasting upon the words of Christ! Stick around for an episode on Wednesday with my little brother as we share dad jokes with one another! It will be fun hehe!
