Bryan mayor Andrew Nelson, speaking on WTAW's The Infomaniacs, says a second search is starting for a private operator of the athletics facility that will be built at the former city golf course. Nelson says there was not enough time was given for companies to respond during the first attempt.
Nelson says the private operator will be involved in the building's design and equipment selection, which will also provide the opportunity to book national events in advance of the facility's opening. And Nelson hopes the facility will be fully booked when it opens, but the mayor says it may take two or three years to make that happen.
