The College Station city council has delayed action whether to endorse state legislation for Texas Avenue to also become the John David and Carolyn Crow memorial highway.
The 6-1 vote followed public comments from Mary Hirsch that included allegations of improper political influence in the state legislature.
Linda Harvell made the motion and Dennis Maloney seconded the motion to delay action until the April 11th meeting.
Mayor Karl Mooney voted against the delay.
The legislation to designate memorial status on Texas between Krenek Tap and Villa Maria has not been considered by the Bryan city council.
