Dylan comes from a very creative family. His dad plays guitar and is a high school drama teacher, so both Dylan and his sister loved doing musical theater productions growing up. After high school, Dylan started a pop rock band called Don't Sigh Daisy, and had the opportunity to open for Switchfoot, Young the Giant and Fun. Despite having some success, the band ultimately broke up as the members started getting married and having kids. Then in 2013, shortly after the band broke up, Dylan's sister got into a bad car accident. She was hit on the interstate and flew across the median into oncoming traffic, causing a traumatic brain injury. After almost losing his sister, Dylan decided to pursue a career in the medical field. With music no longer a priority, he got his CNA license in 2014, and currently works at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville as a certified nursing assistant. When not at work, he is playing at restaurants and small venues on the weekends, but The Voice is the first opportunity he's had in a long time to fully focus on his music.
