ENG:
John Lim is the Vice President of Fenox Venture Capital (www.fenoxvc.com), which is a global Venture Capital Firm based in Silicon Valley. They make investments in top technologies startups and after investing they connect startups all around the world with large corporations and help them to create business opportunities together.

Fenox Venture Capital is launching another product, “Startup World Cup”. It is a global startup pitch competition happening in 40 countries worldwide: winning startups which represent each country to come to Silicon Valley and to compete for one million dollars investment prize. The competition is open to any startups, from any industry and in any stage of development.

Kim highlights a relevant trend in the startup environment: a lot of successful companies outside US are actually copycats of US ideas. In many cases funders who have studied in the US go back to their home countries launching similar ideas they saw in US and thus they create successful startups.

Furthermore, in the startup ecosystem we know that AI is the next big thing. In Silicon Valley there are a lot of innovative people coming up with technologies that can process data much faster than in the past and that enable machine learning to provide great outcomes on research to help humanity overall.

Five Live question is coming up…what would do a VC investor such as John Lim with a 10 million lottery win ?

ITA:
