The original observance of Veterans Day...Armistice Day...is the theme at the Museum of the American G.I. in south College Station during this weekend's remembrance of the centennial of the end of World War I.

The museum's Leisha Mullins says on Saturday and Sunday, visitors can tour their World War I trenches and talk to authentically dressed reenactors.

On display inside the building are special exhibits honoring both Brazos County and Aggie WWI Gold Stars as well as an exhibit on Pinky Wilson and the 100th Anniversary of the Aggie War Hymn.

The museum grounds will contain crosses and dogtags honoring 800 World War I veterans in Brazos County.

Veterans Day morning, there will be a special program that concludes with a WWI Battle reenactment ending at 11 a.m.
