Dorothy Jane Scott was last seen on May 28, 1980 in California. She lived with her aunt in Stanton while frequently visiting her parents in Anaheim. 39 years later and her case has never been solved. Prior to being at the center of her own intricate missing persons case, Dorothy Jane Scott was being stalked. Her stalker would call her at her place of work and aunt’s home. Later those calls went to her grieving mother. It would be four years before her remains would be found. Stalking laws were virtually non-existent and it’d be 10 years before we saw the first stalking law put into place after actress Rebecca Schaefer was killed by her stalker. What happened to Dorothy?
