The Brazos County commissioner's court didn't go far to choose a new general manager at the Brazos County Expo.

County judge Duane Peters says Carl Kolbe was promoted to take over for Tom Quarles, who retired last month.

Peters says Kolbe, who is the Expo's second GM, was Quarles's first hire.

The judge says Kolbe's former position as assistant GM will not be filled. Peters says the new GM decided to delegate those responsibilities to existing employees.
