There is only one woman on the 53 member IFA executive board.
Speaking at the Women and Agriculture conference, Joan Fitzpatrick former IFA Kilkenny county executive member, doesn't believe the IFA have become more encouraging of women in the IFA since her time there, and former president of the Federation of Swedish Farmers, Helena Jonsson believes Joe Healy, President of the IFA needs to step up.
