It's possible that now fewer than a half dozen sure-fire first-ballot hall-of-famers will become eligible for induction five years from now -- with the Class of 2022 -- but here's the rub: According to the rules of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, only three Modern Day fighters can be enshrined in a single year. So, which three do you pick from a list that could include Floyd Mayweather Jr., Andre Ward, Wladimir Klitschko, and Miguel Cotto -- all of whom have already announced that they won't be back in 2018 -- plus, very possibly, Roy Jones Jr. and Manny Pacquiao? That's a dilemma The Ringside Boxing show takes on with our expert analysts, Travis Hartman, Rizwaan Zahid, and John J. Raspanti.

We also take a hard look at undefeated Cuban heavyweight Luis Ortiz, who tested dirty for two different banned substances in advance of his Nov. 4 world title bout with WBC champ Deontay Wilder -- a guy who has now had three opponents busted for PEDs in the past 16 months.

Our British correspondent, Paul McLaughlin, gives us another inside look at the United Kingdom boxing scene, and then we catch up with Rick Farris, co-founder of the West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame, who tells stories about some of the 15 people who will become part of that shrine on Oct. 15 at a sold-out banquet in Hollywood.
Farris also talks about the vibrant 1960s and 70s on the West Coast, a place that had movie stars, gangsters, and some of the best boxers in the world.

Dennis Taylor is host of The Ringside Boxing Show, editor/publisher of www.ringsideboxingshow.com, and co-author (with John J. Raspanti) of "Intimate Warfare: The True Story of the Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward Boxing Trilogy," currently on Amazon's Bestsellers list.
