Grease was a 1978 film adaptation of the 1971 musical of the same name, and mark film-starring turns for leads John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The directorial debut of Randal Kleiser, it followed the romantic and comedic exploits of high school students during the late 1950s, against a backdrop of early rock n' roll and doo-wop.
