When it comes to Big Ten basketball, the line in the sand may indeed be drawn. Troy brought it up a week ago and it looks as though the conference can be split in two. The top eight teams seem to be fairly solidified into the NCAA Tournament. Anything can happen in a month of course, but with Illinois (9-15) sitting at No. 9 in the conference standings, the top eight may have separated itself from the rest.
Can the Big Ten truly get more than eight teams in the NCAA Tournament? The selection committee revealed its Top 16 this year and it looks a lot more Big Ten friendly than it did a season ago.
