He is after the God in you. You are God’s anointed. You are a king and a priest in the kingdom. David understood that it was God’s mercy and not any virtue on his part that brought the protection and goodness of God over his life. Because he knew he was God’s anointed (as you are as well) David knew he would not be moved.
