Today: [Nehemiah Six] Never Negotiate with Your Critics. In this chapter Sanballat again attempts to distract Nehemiah from the rebuilding of the walls of the city. Nehemiah refuses and Sanballat uses many tactics to persuade him. This episode in Nehemiah’s life is a powerful instruction to us as we purpose to seek first the kingdom and are resisted by others who are in disagreement with the work of God.
