No One is Too Small to Make a Difference
By Greta Thunberg, the 15 year old Swedish schoolgirl who camped outside the Swedish parliament and started a global student movement.
This is Not a Drill
By a group called Extinction Rebellion who are also getting traction in this area.
Whale Oil by Margie Thomson.
The true story of how an Auckland businessman, Matt Blomfield, fell out with a business partner who then systematically worked to bring him down via Cameron Slater and his Whale Oil blog. Matt’s reputation and career fell apart and over a seven year period while he tried to fight Slater through the courts, he was attacked, thwarted and delayed at every turn. Our defamation laws have not kept up with the digital age and this whole episode was simply disgraceful – given that, when it did finally make it through the courts to a verdict Slater was found not to have a leg to stand on. It’s an extraordinary read.
