22,000 cows will be culled by the end of the month as the fight to eradicate Mycoplasma bovis continues.
The cattle disease as spread beyond expectation.
The number of farms under regulatory control has jumped from 130 to 290.
Despite the dramatic spread Agricultural Minister Damien O'Connor told Larry Williams he still thinks the disease can be eradicated.
"I'm not saying at this point it's impossible, but we have to be realistic about the possible spread."
