El ego es la creencia en el sacrificio, que tendremos que renunciar a algo real para tener paz mental. Pero esto no es cierto. Sólo necesitamos ver las ilusiones del ego por lo que son. De esta manera, ya no son valoradas mas, y así el liberarlas se experimenta como una ganancia más que como un sacrificio. Es el ego, el que nos ha convencido de que la seguridad y el éxito se adquiere a través del aprendizaje y la competencia; pero ¿qué son la seguridad y el éxito sin paz en la mente? En esta sesión en la mañana, parte de una reunión de un día completo con David Hoffmeister, él nos ofrece una oportunidad de cuestionar estos valores enseñados por el ego, y de abrirnos a una experiencia más allá de lo que este mundo puede ofrecer.

The ego is the belief in sacrifice, that we will have to give up something real to have peace of mind. But this is not true. We only have to see the illusions of the ego for what they are, and let them go. We don’t really need to learn anything new, but merely to unlearn every belief we’ve held to be true about this world and about ourself. This unlearning can seem like a sacrifice, but only because the ego has convinced us that all of our learning about this world has value. It seems to keep us safe as bodies, yet the Holy Spirit wants us to remember that we are not bodies and never were. We are nothing but pure Spirit, perfect and innocent as God created us, and knowing this is pure Joy!
