The Storchen Hotel in Zurich
is set right on the river Limmet in the heart of Zurich. Here’s an interview
with the General Manager Jorg Arnold talking about what makes this family owned
hotel so special. It dates back to the 1300’s. Many notable people have visited
there, Paracelsus knew it, Richard Wagner was a guest at the «Storchen»: For
more than 650 years, the hospitality of the «Storchen» at the Weinplatz in
Zurich has been renowned. The author John Irving immortalised the «Storchen» in
«A Son of the Circus» and «A Widow for One Year. The staff is very friendly and
helpful.
