She successfully navigated through more than 30 foster home placements and psychiatric facilities as a ward of the California Juvenile Court system. She was abandoned by her late father in the 70’s as he left to pursue his musical interests. Regina wrote about the experience in her book I Am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story, now a Lifetime movie premiering Easter weekend.
