We are proud to be “Pard’nered Up” again with a great “Arizona Organization”, St. Mary’s Food Bank, with a goal to double our collection this year, having provided enough for nearly 3000 people last year! This wonderful organization will benefit greatly from this year’s event, so we are looking forward to our largest attendance ever, at this year’s “Bigger & Better” Wild Western Festival! Hope to see ya! St. Mary’s Sunday offers festival guests One Free admission when you bring 6 non-perishable items!
Voted as the “Best in the West Wild West Show” in the U.S. by the premier western publication True West Magazine, the Wild Western Festival is hands down one of America’s, and definitely Arizona’s, Biggest Western Event! It will once again be Ride’n into Glendale’s Historic Sahuaro Ranch Park for three full days of Family Fun on October 25, 26 & 27, 2013. Festival Producer Dr. Buck, a Hollywood Stuntman and former General Manager of the World Famous Ponderosa Ranch, of Bonanza TV fame, and his Posse of over 60 volunteers will transform all 17 acres of the park into, what the Arizona Press has called, “A Wild West Renaissance Festival”. It is the only event where “History meets Hollywood”, as guests enjoy Action Packed Wild West Comedy Gunfight & Stunt Shows, Trick Roping, Gun Spinning & Trick Horse Performances by World Champions, along with Live Music, Cowboy Historians and Native American Tribal Dancers. There’s something for all ages at this One-of-a-Kind Event, from meeting your favorite Hollywood TV & Movie Stars such as Kevin “Hercules” Sorbo, Dan “Grizzly Adams” Haggerty, Famous Stuntman Neil Summers, Mike “Desperado/La Bamba” Moroff and Don “High Chaparral” Collier, to name a few, along with the always, not to be missed Celebrity Panel Discussions hosted by the Chronicle of the Old West’s very own Dakota Livesay. Enter a good old fashioned Pie Eating Contest, Tug of War, Sack Race or one of the many other Free, “Blue Ribbon” winning Country Fair contests. The Kids Korral offers up Bounce Houses, Face Painting, Buck'n Bull & Pony Rides, Entertainment for the youngn’s and much more. What really sets this Festival apart from every other Western Event is the “Back in Time” atmosphere, not only created by all the Historic Buildings dating back to 1886, but also by the large gathering of Authentically Dressed 1880’s Wild West Characters, many that are Dr Buck’s “Posse” of Official Festival Volunteers. Don’t forget your camera, there’s plenty of True West Moments to capture at Arizona’s Biggest Western Event! Joining us this year is a great performer, supporter and friend of the festival, Will Roberts, acclaimed Will Rogers’s tribute artist, radio host, keynote speaker & Wild West performer, who will not only be entertaining audiences, but will also be covering the event for thereenactors.com… who knows, you might even get interviewed!
This year’s Wild Western Festival offers guests the Biggest Round-Up of Entertainment ever! The cast reads like a who’s who of World Class Performers… Hollywood Stuntman, Dr. Buck Montgomery is joined by a Cast of Character Actors in “All New” Wild West Comedy Gunfight & Stunt Shows. Champion Six Gun Spinner and one man Wild West Showman, “Hotshot” Johnny and Trick Roper Will Roberts will amaze and amuse audiences. World Champion Trick Horse Trainer & Mounted Shooter, Gary “Bad Dog” Bennett and his trusty steed “Blue Eyed Jack”, will be joined by Miss Megan and her Trick Pony “Killer” for more incredible shows, and Old West Magician “Mysterioso” will offer up Wild West Tricks. Award Winning tribal dance and song will be performed by Moontee Sinquah & his Wild Sons Scott & Samson, plus, plenty of Live "Best in the West" will fill the air at this year's event. Learn about the History of the American Cowboy and witness Amazing Horsemanship skills with National Day of the Cowboy Spokesman, Lee Anderson. Keep an eye out for Hollywood and Historical lookalikes around every corner and Saturday brings an “1880’s Old West meets Wild, Wild West Steam Punk Costume Contest” of preposterous proportions that’s not to be missed! On Sunday, for a “Howl’in Good Time”, bring out your Critters for the “Best Dressed Wild West Pet” costume contest! 100’s of Artisans & Crafters, displaying and selling an array of items will be on hand, providing guests with endless opportunities to discover the perfect gift item or personal “Rare Find”… and of course plenty of Festival Foods & Treats will be available to satisfy any appetite!
