'Do you catch yourself daydreaming about the good ol' days and the wonder years trying to figure where they've gone? Are always reminiscing and trying to bring back the happy days of yesterday? Do you easily become melancholy with good memories? Are you struggling with looking back at what was & not looking forward to what is? '


This weeks message reminds us that even though we had success in the past, it can be dangerous to remain fixated on the wonderful memories of joy and triumph of that time. When you look back, do you find yourself inspired and encouraged or spiraling toward depression hoping for those times to 'return'??. Think about it....how many times have you and I looked back at our lives and tried to hold onto or bring back the glory days of our previous good.........The convinient, comfortable, familiar, feel good way life once was? If you often find yourself hoping for the past to repeat itself and or trying to make others 'look, come back & reminisce with you, but keep coming up feeling empty and unfulfilled then this is for you. Did you know that there is a scriptural and healthy way to exercise your God given right to choose to look back without losing sight of your future dream for greater good in life based on understanding the power your spiritual & mental perspective? Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place. For we are about to destroy this place, because the outcry against its people has become great before the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.” So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, “Up! Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city.” But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.
As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city.” But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. And as they brought them out, one said, “Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away.” And Lot said to them, “Oh, no, my lords. Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life. But I cannot escape to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die. Behold, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Let me escape there—is it not a little one?—and my life will be saved!” He said to him, “Behold, I grant you this favor also, that I will not overthrow the city of which you have spoken. Escape there quickly, for I can do nothing till you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
The sun had risen on the earth when Lot came to Zoar. Then the LORD rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the LORD out of heaven. And he overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. But Lot's wife, behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

***The Mysterys Challenge Of The Week For Us All: 'After listening identify 3 areas of your life where you have 'looked back with longing away from your desired greater good'. Write them down on a sheet of paper and then decide on 3 different ways you can lovingly start catching the creative vision of your future time, energy, people, activities & habits that do not aid you in obtaining your good. ***NOTE: The Easiest way for me is to think about the good times in the past that always seem to get me daydreaming and then ask myself 'why' I miss it so?? And quickly remind myself of three good reasons it had to change or come to an end!!(HINT.....that will also often tell me what needs healing anc correcting in my perspective of wanting to 'go back there')!!! Based on what you've learned and been reminded of here.... ARE YOU AWARE OF THE GOD-GIVEN POWER TO THINK, CHOOSE, SPEAK, FEEL & ACT IN FAITH WITHIN YOU when it comes to consciously 'looking back without longing' with Gods help and inspiration for a greater good of others and your own' each day so that He and His love can flow through you in an 'easier' way for and towards your greater good? Jot down the intention to 'let it be so' in your journal and then ask God for the strength, patience and love put it into conscious loving practice with acceptance. Amen.
