Good morning, Florida boaters and beach lovers! It's time for your Coastal Waters Forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami. I'm here to keep you informed and entertained, so let's dive into today's conditions.

For our Atlantic coast from Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef, we have a cold front crossing the area, bringing hazardous to near-gale force northwesterly winds. Expect seas to increase to hazardous levels, especially in the Gulf Stream. Keep an eye out for a chance of thunderstorms over the waters as well.

Attention, sailors near Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach! A Small Craft Advisory is in effect through Friday evening. Today, winds will shift from south-southwest to west-northwest, reaching 20 to 25 miles per hour. Seas will be choppy, ranging from 4 to 6 feet, occasionally up to 8 feet. Don't forget your rain gear with a chance of showers and even a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Moving southward to Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach, a Small Craft Advisory is also in place through Friday morning. Nearshore, expect northwest winds increasing to 20 to 25 miles per hour, with offshore gusts up to 35 miles per hour. Seas will vary from 2 to 4 feet near shore to 5 to 7 feet further out, with a chance of morning showers and possible thunderstorms.

Lake Okeechobee enthusiasts, be aware of the Small Craft Advisory through Friday morning. West-southwest winds will shift to northwest, creating choppy waters. Watch out for rough conditions tonight with north winds at 20 to 25 miles per hour.

And last but not least, over at beautiful Biscayne Bay, a Small Craft Advisory kicks in from this afternoon through Friday evening. Expect some choppy conditions with winds shifting from south-southwest to west-northwest.
