In this episode, amongst several things, Dave Dumbs Down the eclipse from April 8. You might be surprised to what he has to say about it, and as always, he discusses it in relation to human behavior.
His theory is that people responded to the eclipse
in ways that have a lot to do with their own personal lives.

When the eclipse came, it got a little dark inside the house. But when I looked out the window, the sun was still shining. I didn’t bother to look at it. I have seen one in my life twice before.

Trips of 12 hours or so are great to leave at around 10:00 p.m. That way you get to your destination to stop somewhere for breakfast. These are driving trips.

Clear skies for the eclipse. Cloudy and ready to snow here today.

You want to hear something funny, even ironic? Your episode about the total eclipse. Two commercials for lasik eye surgery. Maybe trying to catch the people who did not protect their eyes to get them repaired?

Innocence in the sense of having a wonder of the world. Yes. Thank you. I love to have a positive outlook on life and doing things that are enjoyable. I always have hope. I always make the best of whatever situation. I avoid the negative people and situations. That only brings your mood down. We need to encircle ourselves with positive vibes. Makes for a better world.

Many posts are attention seekers. "Be proud of me." "See how unique I am." "Feel sorry for me." On and on.

The eclipse was 34% here. Yes, I put on my ISO rated glasses and went out and watched the moon travel across the bottom of the sun over the course of two hours. It was nice. I had been in the 95% coverage in 2017 but wanted to see this one as well.
