The word Nickelodeon comes from the ‘nickel’ that was charged to enter early movie theaters, but it has older origins in the “odeons” of Greece and Roman, which were small theaters. Nickelodeon is precisely that, a smaller version of the adult world of Hollywood and their award shows. Nick-El-Odeon could also be defined as Old-NIck-God-Odin, the white bearded man of the North, like Saturn.
