Chris George’s interaction with the paranormal came at a very young age. Living in Leadville, CO, a town of historical significance to the mining industry of the 1800’s, He began seeing “people” at approximately the age of four or five. He came to believe they were spirits existing in the collapsed silver and gold mines near his home. During this time, he also became aware of strange occurrences in the sky, by what could only be described as UFO activity. At the age of 8-9 he believes he might have had an interaction with an alien being. He has not experienced this type of encounter since, but does remember it vividly. At the age of eleven, his family relocated to Southern California where he continued to have sightings of UFOs, and encounters with paranormal activity. He had a fascination Queen Mary, a British Ocean Liner permanently docked in Long Beach where he lived. He was fascinated with the history of the ship, but also intrigued when he heard that the ship was allegedly haunted. Through the years he had the opportunity to wander the ship and become acquainted with locations of the ship not necessarily visited by the basic public. Through these adventures, he became friends with renowned paranormal investigator, Peter James. This friendship influenced his understanding of not only the Queen Mary but of the paranormal world in general His fascination with the paranormal continued, along with his passion to become a park ranger. He later fulfilled his dream to be a ranger spending the next 40 years in service in different parts of the United States. During his career, the park service asked him to investigate strange and bizarre occurrences which involved missing persons and other paranormal activities located in various parks which could not be explained. He was given the nickname of “Ranger Mulder” as a tip of the hat to “The X Files”. He still consults on various current cases as well. In 1996, he was relocated to Grand Junction, CO where he began his own investigative group “Anubis Paranormal Research Organization” APRO. APRO began investigating locations on the western edge of Colorado. Eventually he was reassigned to other park locations throughout the United States. At each of these locations, he developed a satellite group. Currently APRO has members in Colorado, Texas, Florida, Nebraska, South Carolina, California, New York, Scotland, and Japan, and soon to have additional satellite groups in the United States and Europe. As of January 2023, APRO started a new program called “APRO Kids”. This new program, follows children as the delve into the field of the paranormal APRO also started a new online show called “GhostWatch – Behind the Curtains Podcast”.
