Dr. Sean D. Young is a UCLA medical school professor and the Founder and Executive Director of the University of California Institute for Prediction Technology (UCIPT), which brings together experts in psychology, medicine, business, and technology to study cutting edge ways of using social media and mobile technologies to change and predict human behavior. The Institute’s work is featured in top media outlets including The New York Times, NPR, the Huffington Post, Yahoo Finance, TechCrunch, Mashable, and CBS News. In addition to Dr. Young’s platform with UCLA and within the startup community, he is a frequent speaker on behavior change in the corporate world, giving frequent talks to companies and organizations including: Intel, Facebook, Twitter, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Gates Foundation. He has a PhD in Psychology and Master’s in Health Services Research from Stanford University.
