Rochelle is a homeless person in one of the most difficult places to be homeless in the summer... Texas. Sweltering heat and politicians that don't seem to care much about street folks, but also seem to be targeting woman and they're choice, to make their own choices. The oddest thing about downtown Houston was the fact that so much construction was being done to make the city attractive to touring business folks. Yet I saw 10-15 homeless people each block. If I were the city of Houston I would create a walk way about 15-20 feet above the sidewalk across the whole of the downtown. This way all though folks in their fine business attire would not have to see the city as it really is. Plus they wouldn't run the risk of rubbing up against the homeless and getting dirty. Thats got to be easier and cheaper than actually taking care of the folks on the streets.
