I hear Christians say all the time that bearing one’s cross means to deal with your problems or carry some burden in their lives. A few examples are things like strained relationships, thankless job, physical illness, etc. For most “Christians” it’s self pitying pride. They say things like ohh well it’s my cross to carry, and what they mean by that is it’s my burden to bear.
